Abstract

Solubility of some tetrahydropyrimidine derivatives have been studied in methanol, ethanol, iso-propyl alcohol and tetrahydrofuran at different temperatures (293.15 to 313.15 K) at atmospheric pressure. For all compound, solubility increase with increase in temperature and found to be higher in THF than other selected alcoholic solvents. Further, some thermodynamic parameters such as enthalpy, Gibb’s free energy and entropy of dissolution have been evaluated from solubility data. For all the compounds, enthalpy and Gibb’s free energy values are positive whereas entropy values are negative for some compounds.
