Abstract

In the previous chapters it was discussed the role of some food components (nutrients and nonnutrients)
on human health and disease protection. In the following sections specific foods, food
components and metabilities that impact on memory and cognition, eventually being able to inhibit or
retard the development of age-related chronic diseases, will be discussed.
