Abstract

Intercompetition had a sig ificant role in the population behaviour of S. oryzae. The po ulation growth of S. oryzae was highest when it was allowed to multiply in association with R. dominica.

Its population growth was lowest when it was kept along with S. granarius and R dominiea. However, the multiplication behaviour of S. oryzae in different conditions had been in the following decreasing order: S. oryzae & R. dominica > S. oryzae and S. granarius.> S. oryzae S oryzae, S. granarius and R. dominica The most suitable months for S. oryzae were JulyAugust wherea September and October were the most unfavourable periods.
