Abstract

This paper aims to offer significant insights provided by evolutionary theory and draws on inquisitive reasoning to comprehend the fundamental concept of art. The study followed the analytical steps to deeply extract the essence of art, such as analyzing the historical, biological, and psychological phenomena of art. The issues addressed in this investigation are derived from various interpretations and developments that justify the explanations of art provided by various notable thinkers from the East and West of the world. It also discusses art-related consensuses and briefly outlines the nature of art in terms of impulse and the degrees of artistic and evolutionary development of man toward its zenith. The evolutionist theory of art implies adequate handling in elucidating the significance and/or making an effort to address fundamental questions regarding its nature. Hence, art is boundless since it provides a dynamic representation of human inventiveness.
